National pharmacy chains are not vaccinating in every state and they follow each state’s eligibility guidance. Make sure to check their COVID-19 page to see if they’re vaccinating in your state and if you qualify.
Following the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program, pharmacies across the USA are performing COVID-19 vaccinations. According to the CDC:
The Federal Retail Pharmacy Program for COVID-19 Vaccination is a collaboration between the federal government, pharmacy partners, and states and territories to increase access to COVID-19 vaccination across the United States. This partnership involves 21 national pharmacy partners and independent pharmacy networks, representing over 40,000 retail and long-term care pharmacy locations nationwide.
In some states, like New York, pharmacies can only vaccinate a subset of all eligible groups. Make sure to confirm what the pharmacies can do you in your state.

Remember, just because a nationwide pharmacy is vaccinating, that doesn't mean it's vaccinating in your state, or even at all locations in your state. And your local independent shop might have a shot too, so give them a call!
